  The Scoundrel  (aka Harry) is a lovely quality stamp of a Traditional Gypsy Cob and has been one of the top sires in the last few years.  He combines masses of bone and substance with real quality.  He is bigger than the usual Gypsy Cob standing around 15hh and being homozygous guarantees a coloured foal. He moves well, very free and straight. His temperament is superb, he is incredibly kind and laid back making him the ideal choice for nervous or maiden mares, he regularly runs with mares and foals and is equally happy being turned out with young colts and geldings, infact when running with foals and youngsters he regularly shares his bucket with them! He has been shown very lightly due to incredibly busy stud seasons but was CHAPS Champion twice. His fertility is excellent when covering naturally or when using AI. His stock inherit his easy temperament and have excelled in the show ring. He is a super cross with TB/ lightweight mares producing bone and substance and of course with Cobs and Natives.
The old saying " a stallion is only as good as the stock that he throws" certainly runs true in Harry's case he has thrown County Show winning Hunters, Cobs and Natives as well as some fantastic all rounders. One of his most successful offspring has been Burghwallis Studs Paparazzi now himself a Chaps Graded Stallion and Champion Inhand throught the County circuit and is coming out under saddle in 2017. Playboy was born in the UK in 2004 and is by the very famous Tumbleweed. He was exported to the USA as a yearling in 2005. He stayed in America until 2013 when he came back to England. He was incredibly well known in the States being given the highest rating and was recognised as one of their most influential sires. He has progeny all over the world including Australia and one of his sons was the first Gypsy Cob to be imported into Asia. He is globally reknowned. He is the perfect example of a true quality Gypsy Cob. He has stacks of bone, masses of hair and feather and is a super straight and extravagant mover. He has a beautiful tiny pony head, is short and compact with depth and width. He goes beautifully under saddle and is broken to drive. He was shown in 2016 being Ridden Trad Champion at Chaps SE and was top 3 in many Hoys Qualifiers being unlucky not to get there in really his first season under saddle English style!! We are thrilled to own him!!!

He has limited stock in the UK as only been back in the country for a couple of years but already has a highly successful son in the show ring and I have some top class youngstock by him. Moortown Frilly (Hoys winner and RI res Supreme) is infoal to him for 2017!! I really have been extremely impressed with what he has produced , great substance with real quality!

  Hanky was bred by Sally Lindsell at the famous Hopgarden Stud using the very best of bloodlines and has an incredible showing record  with multiple County level Chapionships inhand and ridden. He qualified for Hoys in 2015 but due to his then owners personal reasons was unable to attend. His son Hopgarden Playboy was 6th at HOYS in the NNP class in 2016 at only 4 years of age!! He also sired the Finals winner and Youngstock Supreme Champion at Chaps Champs 2016 the highly successful yearling  Pumpmeadow Strike a Pose . He is a proven sire of top class show stock and to a larger mare will produce size (I have 2 by him that are 15hh plus) and is no owned by us as Ive been so impressed by his offspring!
